Reusable water bottles are a must, and I particularly like steel water bottles. They are stronger than plastic, look better, and don’t have the chemicals that plastic has. These eco canteens are $10, have a sports top with carabiner clip, and are made from food grade stainless steel. They also have kid’s sizes for a couple bucks less that my son loves – he’s only two and can’t yet lift a heavy bottle.

I must say that I’m surprised at how many organic products are available at my local Costco. They have several different kinds of organic coffee, milk, eggs, butter, yogurt, beef, chicken, turkey, and the list goes on. It seems like every week I stop in Costco and find myself saying “Hey, they’ve got organic something-or-other now!”
Do you show for organic food at Costco or any of the other warehouse retailers? How do you feel about the selection?

I love that REI has really jumped into providing more eco-sensitive clothing and gear, and I really hope it’s working out for them. Take for example these REI Slickrock Shorts. They’re made from organic cotton with a recycled polyester interior lining. They feel great and look great, and they much better for the environment they a standard pair of shorts. And on top of that, they’re only $38. Big congrats to REI!

This snazzy pair of shoes is remarkable as they are made from recycled materials. No two pairs are exactly the same, as they are made from factory remnants and reground scraps. Cool!

I’m not going to jump down your throat for not always using your reusable coffee mug when you go to Starbucks. It isn’t always easy to remember, and some times it isn’t convenient. That being said, you have no excuse not to use one of these great and fashionable thermal sleeves from Cup Couture. Available in a variety of colors, just slip it into your pocket or purse, and you’ve got it ready to go. No more excuses!
